WHY TWO HOUR LESSONS?
The Driving Instructor Industry has found that most learner drivers progress the quickest when completing two hours of tuition once a week. This is because this time period allows the client the time to be introduced to new items and then time to practise them so to have them understood and able to complete.
By completing two hour lessons the client is likely to achieve test standard having completed less hours overall.
CAN I DO AN INTENSIVE COURSE?
Intensive Course = Up to 8 hours a day for 5 days (40 Hours)
Even the most experienced driver would find this a great challenge, never mind someone who is just starting out.
Intensive Courses are only of value to those clients who have probably already had some driving experience or are close to test standard and only require some 'tidying up'
For those clients considering an Intensive Course:
You should undertake an assessment lesson with the instructor before booking/paying for the course. This is to ensure compatibility of Client/Instructor and that the instructor agrees that the client is a suitable candidate
The Driving Standards Agency currently advises that a 17 year-old with average learning ability will require approx 40 hours of professional tuition plus around 20 hours of private practise to achieve test standard
